Por-15

I'm going to undercoat my 89 IROC. Is that "super starter kit" from por15.com enough to do the underbody?

crap , ive never used that started kit , but por does go a long way but you have to do two coats , maybe someone else has used it . I usually just get a pint or quart and have more than enough.

i havent , but ive only used it on rusty stuff , like a rear end and it was used on the undercarriage of my bros car which has rust . I think it wouldnt hurt to use it if you dont have rust where you are going to put i t.

I have used that POR-15, But have never used it w/ that Metal Ready. I always cleaned the metal up by sanding, or wire brushing it. I must say though that the POR-15 sticks alot better to rust than a real clean surface. I painted the wheelwells on my car w/ it, but it will srape off because I used it on bare metal, Must not have been a good idea to sand it down, and not primer it.
