will overhead console work in car normally without one?

Axle/Gears: 9-bolt rear. gears? hell if i know
will overhead console work in car normally without one?

Yes but you need the correct mounting screws, and they are different hard and ttop.

Transmission: Th700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.73
You have to play with the wiring a bit, but yes it will work. And you will need all the mounting hardware out of the donor car! In fact my car was already predrilled for the overhead console even though it came w/o it!
