Matt black Camaro? Any pics and what do you think?
My car is currently in the body shop getting a full respray after someone didn't stop at a junction. I was just going to get it sprayed gloss black as that is what's on it but the guy doing the work said it could look good in a Matt Black.
Anyone got any thoughts on this or pictures of a Matt Black IROC? Are there and disadvantages to Matt Black?
Thanks
Robert

I like the matt finsh on old 50's cars. But i don't think it would look right on a third gen. People would just think that u did not have the money to get it painted. I think it would show dirt /dust pretty easy. But I would like to see some pics. And not just someone that primmerd there car black with rattel cans.

Im gonna say itll look bad. I love matt paint jobs, on muscle cars a matt black (like the charger in the movie blade) looks absolutly amazing. On a third gen i agree it would just look like you didnt have enough money to paint it properly, probably has to do with the fact that these cars have a reputation as being beaters.
What might look really cool is a gloss black paint with some form of non-traditional matt black striping pattern, im thinking maybe a stripe that goes from like the door on an angle back to the rear wheel well, i dunno just something very different, might look really cool if you had a good idea
