Question about body year
Can anybody tell me what body year the following car is?
(link: http://images.speurders.nl/images/40/4049/4049260_1.jpg )
It's a car for sale in my neighbourhood, and is advertised to have a 350 engine. Only i believe the car is made in 84.
Better: who has a list of differences in apperarance for camaros between the various thirdgen years, so I know where to pay attention to.
Thank you.

Thats is a 82-84 Camaro, looks like a Z28 because of the hood and rims. If it has a 350 then it was swapped in. Looks like a nice clean car.

RocVert> i'll look into that book.
Aren't here any website with the info i'm looking for?
Also for a thirgen camaro, would you recomend the chilton or haynes manual?
I think the chilton is better for secondgen firebird, but I don't know if it's the same for 3rd gen camaros.

well I have both Manuals, If memory serves me, the chilton
is more detailed and has more up to date info on the later thirdgens
The Haynes semes like a earlier print less info on the later third gens but is a little easier to understand at times.
I am glad I have both actually
Both also include info on body differences if I remember right
Not sure bout websites but I tell ya you wouldnt be disapointed if you picked the camaro white book, you would prolly be able to find it at most book stores.
A picture of every year camaro, and detailed information about options changes made that year all sorts of stuff

Unfortunately i live in The Netherlands, so it's not availible at every bookstore. But i have found it on an online Dutch bookstore. And i have put it on my wishlist
A 350 must be a TPI right?
But it's mated to a 5 speed stick shift :-S
Should be fun to drive, if the information is correct

i would say that it looks to be 82-84 also. and the 350 if it is has to be swapped in. but i agree its a nice looking ride.

I hope it's not a 350 t-5 combo.. That wouldn't hold very long. Haven't got any more info at the moment.
I'll call the owner tomorrow...

Check the Vin number for the stock engine. 99 44/100% of 3rd gen cars being sold have a 350, if that was the case GM made nothing but 350's. If you are told it was swapped in, ask to see some paperwork, if that fails check the block numbers (to much work) or walk away. Just my opinion and the body style is not going to tell you about the engine only that it was not a stock 350.
