Hey what's up to everyone. I own a 1982 custom wide body Firebird with a 383 Stroker in it. The car only has 36,213 mi. on it. I had originally bought the car 7-8 years ago from someone i worked with he was getting divorced and he wanted to sell all his **** before his wife got it. So i basically got it for a steal. Then i sold it to my brother like 2 years later and he killed the clutch and 4-speed munsey tranny in it. So i recently bought it back and it now needs some work to the body basically he crushed the nose but only the fiberglass has damage no frame damage(happened when he tried to park somewhere he went a little to close. Was wondering if any one knew where i could get a new nose like the one i have. Here are some pictures of it.

its the 82-84 grill but you have ground effex on it. i had a grill just like it minus the ground effects but the mounts were torn apart when the original owner had tried to take it off. so i chucked it. i got a replacement which is similar
this one is whats on my car now. if you notice it doesn't have the bottom lip. good luck with the search

I believe that nose came part of a "wide body kit". Cant remeber manuf. but will look through some of my old mags for it. You might be out of luck if company went under though.

The nose just looks like a regular stock 82-94 nose and Hawk's (look at banner above) sells the stock 82-84 nose. It seems the wide body tapers through on the front so it should fit. The gfx on it are the only thing that seems to be different, and those seem like they can be fixed by someone that knows a little about fiberglass and just attached to a new stock nose.

Stop by a good auto body shop and ask them to quote you a price to repair yours. A good friend of mine is an auto body tech and he has repaired things that only had a outline of the original part left to work with......

Yeah.. '82-'84 firebird nose with what appears to be '85-90 Camaro ground effect... interesting...

Both of those pieces are VERY repairable... see my plastic parts repair thread stickied to the top of this forum.

My thoughts exactly, not sure if I like it though, looks like it has promise...just lacks execution.

They're just different gfx, don't look like 85-90 gfx really. If you need a new nose they're not that expensive and if the gfx are fiberglass they should be easy to repair, don't seem like they're really damaged.

This is the 2nd time its been the radiator.....
before that i ALMSOST didnt make it home, and i was up in tyngsborough, LOL
(That convinced me that there was definatly something ****ed in the car, 650 dollars later it was fixed :-P)

Though the car is obviously far from.. the color and wheels reminded me of the Coyote from Hardcastle and McCormik for some reason... (I think it's past my medication & bed time...).
Probably that strong 80's look it has going on there...
minus the front spoiler.. it also looks like the widebody kit www.showcars-bodyparts.com sells.
