Pro/AM going under for interior styling

Hi, It has been few months (like8) since I got my car and it underwent a **** load of work.
Re-built 305 heads (lot more flow)
Spankin orange air hog open element.
Pacesetter Headers (smog legal)
3inch cat back exaust.
Brand new cooling system.
New alternator
Ac delete
3.23 rear posi disc
TBI stage two chip (works wonders)
Brand new rotors and pads.
Brand new firestone tires.
Custom hood, custom Rims
Brand new stereo with a special board in the back well. Lined with special stuff outputting through two tweleves. 400watt amp and the whole car is kicking.
Much more ****, but I cant remember all of it.
Oh, yea the engine is now Red and blue, clean and bitchin.
Now, since I am saving money for a monster engine i decided to put in some serious PRO/AM detailing.
Many of you dont know but PRO/AM was a dealers thing made to sell the firebirds. I wont lecture you on them but some of you already do know whats up.
See, I decided that I will paint my interior trim and carpet black with pro/am lettering in red. I already have a black/gray combo with wooden trim. I plan on painting the trim red and cleaning it really nice (cleaning it first). Than on the pass. side theres no glove box and I belive its the plate thats attached which is saying wich production number this pro/am was. On there I plan on putting" Pro Firebird logo AM" (in that kind of order). I am just trying to pimp up my ride on budget.
Now, I wanna know if you guys tried all the paints.
Carpet
Upholstery
trim
etc.
What can you tell me about them and do you think they are good or not.
For now only the gray plastic trim will be painted black other stuff will remain untill I hear from you.
Thanks a bunch and thanks for the lenghty reading.

P.S. I will be taking the car to the dyno soon and I'll make sure I post what results I got. I am not expecting much from the 305.

It is, BUT.... Use only flat-black on the plastic and DO NOT paint your armrests or console lid!!! Learned that one the hard way...

Aight, getting all of it done sunday. I got few paints that should work on plastic. My console top is black (thank ***) so I dont have to worry about that. Why would painting the arm rests be a pain???
Wouldnt some vynil (spelling) paint work??
Anyways I'll gets some pics up by than.

It may not be a problem depending on how you prep it. I used the Final Prep and it seemed to maybe soften the vinyl (or remove it's "skin") and that's what led to the mess I had.

Never tried it and based upon my previous experience, I never would. The vinyl is too soft for spraying anyway so you'd probably want to have a pro do it or just buy the right color pieces to start with and then clean them with soap and a scrubbing brush.
