Pics of my Cervinis ram air hood installed!!
Well, it came today. It has been raining here all day so I had to wait for a break in the weather to put it on. Good thing that the hood is light. Needless to say, it installed without any problems. As I figured, my air cleaner was too big to fit underneath, so I had to remove it. Will be dealing with that issue here shortly. Also, I can't close the hood all the way because of it rubbing on the fenders. I will have to adjust that as well. All I can say is that for the money, this is a good hood, and Cervini's is a good company to deal with. I ordered my hood from them at like 3PM on Monday and got it here at noon. Well, here are the pics.....

I think it has potential. a lot of people have a problem with having to move their fenders wider when they get an aftermarket hood. luckly I didn't for my ss, but once that is done it should look pretty good. how straight is the hood? I know mine wasn't all that straight and my body shop guy spent a long time blocking and sanding to make it look smooth like a steel hood. do they offer a air box to use the hood?

I think it looks alright, a friend has the same hood on his 89 must*ng and it looks great there... although he had 0 problems with it, bolted right up and fit well. I'd like to see some more pics that are taken from farther way.. I always liked the lines of that hood.

it's your choise as to what kind of hood to put on your car, but personally, that wouldn't be my first choise of after market hoods. i'm a fan of the cowl, or even the SS hood.

Well, for a while I have been debating on which hood to get. I was looking at cost and fit, size and functionality, and most of all quality. I did some searches, and called a few places, and did alot of homework, and found that Cervini's would be the company I buy my hood from. Then it came down to which one. Now I absolutely LOVE cowl induction hoods. They kick ***! But in my area(Tampa, FL) there aren't that many NICE(and I stress nice) third gens and almost every one of them has a cowl hood. I have not seen any third gen in this area with a ram air hood(Cervini's style) So the whole dare to be different deal was in my head. I know that almost everone on this board probably won't like my hood, and that's OK. I would agree with them......... if the car didn't have the 92 style high rise spoiler and aero ground effects. Those 2 things really set the car off in my opinion, and those are what make it look decent. Like this.......

Oh, and Brisk, this weekend(hopefully Sunday) I will be able to go back outside and mess with the fender alignment issues some more and maybe take some more pics for you.

lol.. you both belong in your own little club.
reguardless make a car your own, to hell with what others think. from what little work i've done with them they make nice products. i've only had one bad hood from them and it was absolutely horrible, they refunded my money and let me keep the hood.

i like it man- itll look sweet when its done. being different is awsome- if everyone on this board had high rise spoilers, ss hoods, and TTIIs, with an l98 TPI- would it be fun to look at the cars? no- every car that does somthing different- as long as its tastefull makes this board interesting- he didnt put 24" rims on, he put on a hood that looks good with the high rise and the GFX. personally i like a nice 3" cervani cowl- but once that hood is preped, made fit, and painted- itll give your car character
just my 2 cents

Well I've always liked that hood on Must@ngs, and it looks pretty damned sharp on f-bodies. Thats my story and I'm stickin...
I think that wide cowl really looks its best when viewed from the driver's seat, the agressively wide cowl and stainless steel honey comb inserts makes it scream with testosterone

Well, a little update for you. No more new pics as of yet. I spent ALL day Sunday trying to get this damn hood to fit and have somewhat decent fender gaps. The car has been in an accident prior to me purchasing it. It got tagged in the right front. Needless to say, I have maxed out every little bit of adjustment that I could from the fenders/hood ans I am still not satisfied with the fit. The hood is straight, so I don't think that it is the problem. I will have to take it to a body shop and have them work their magic on it. I don't want to put up any pics cause I know that it will look better than it does now.
