How do Hawk's door panels black plastic work?
I cant figure out how they designed them to attach to the panels. They are similar to the stock trim, except that the little pins that stick out to attach to the panels are thinner and longer. If anyone has any ideas let me know. Thanks.

Well, as for the stock pieces, here's what I did.
Facing the door panel, I located each of about 6 (guesstimate) of the clips that hold it to the door sheetmetal. You can peek in there when the window is down and see them.
I started with the clip closest to the back of the door, and with an open palm, pushed in against the approximate location of the clip. Then, while maintaing pressure, just push up on the plastic.
It helps if you have a friend keep the previous clips from re-clipping while you move on to the next clip.
Does that make sense? It's REAL easy. i can remove those pieces in about 15 seconds each.

yea just use a pair of pliers to grap the round self threading nuts and twist untill they come off but be carefull cuz the little platic stubs tend to break off easy. but if you are replacing them it dosent really matter if they get broken as they will be on the new one

I wish I had my camera so I could show you what im talking about. The hawk black pieces have the pins that stick out also (that look like it takes a flat nut), but they are about 4 times longer and much thinner.

yes but can you do this without breaking the very small tabs on them?
