I have the Demon Tweeks MotorSports/Road etc catalogues at home, which I think has the weights, photos, options etc for most of these seats.

I'll be home in 2 days and can get the info for you then. Unless someone else gets it for you first!

i wouldn't expect you to scan it but if you could find the dimensions and weight. just trying to figure out what the difference is as price jumps a bit between the three.

thanks. if anyone else knows please chime in.

excellent stuff, thank you very much for taking the time to find that... not sure why i couldn't but i appreciate it.

Spdfrk1990, company? as in where i might by them from? not sure yet... not sure if i'm going to go sparco either but they are up there on the list right now. i'm really liking bride which i have a set but to recover is costly and sparco offers custom colors with their standard pricing.

thanks again and if anyone else has something to add please do.

sparco just came out with a new budget reclining seat called the siegen i believe, can't remember the spelling. anyhow it uses the same frame as the torino and milano which are identical but a cheaper cloth for those who want to lower the budget.

found out the only difference between milano and torino 1-2 (same thing) is the material and the milano has side bolster adjustment where as the torino doesn't. the milano prestige is where it's at with a slew of upgraded options as well as leg adjustment that slides out for more support.

unfortunately the prestige only comes in leather and it's $1400 a piece retail. if it came in carbon/suede like the milano alcantra version i'd buy one. also it should be noted that sparco reclining seats are heavy... very heavy. their torino is 38lbs and the milano is 40lbs which is alot for a cloth/suede material seat considering my corbeau trs leather seats were 27lbs. while it isn't much to worry about your basically paying for the material, beyond the name which we all know. to close ones eyes the torino is identical to the corbeau carerra or cr1 as it's called now but the material is much nicer. the milano alcantra is beautiful and the prestige is near perfect but $1400 for a leather seat that weights 44lbs is a little outrageous, they aren't that nice.

so the search continues....

Xceleratemaro those summit seats look incredibly good for that price tag.

I was looking for some nice cloth sparco-type racing seats but couldnt find any in a good price range and let alone recline. Those look really nice, like leather, and would probably compliment my 4th gen console nicely. I think theyd look good with your 4th gen dash, which is lookin good btw.

How do you think those would look with 4th gen rear seats (in black leather)

sure do..

SALES@recaro-seats.com

name is mark wilson, he is a representative at on-track.

http://www.recaro-seats.com/

they specialize in recaro but can order anything out there. do a search on the net before you contact them so you know what price your looking at. he's very good at answering questions fast and they beat prices if you know your seats. they are also a distributor for almost all seats except for cobra so if you go through somewhere else chances are that place is ordering seats from him.

and if that still doesn't do it for you then get ahold of this guy.

jhuston3@earthlink.net

name is jim houston, he is a representative at the autotoystore.

http://www.autotoystore.com/sparco_seats.html

his prices are also cheap.

these are the best two on the net i've found, if someone else knows of something better please post up.

No worries Kandied! Just make sure you post loads of pics once you have them. One other thing, could you possibly weigh them once you get them? Just to see if the weight claims are accurate.

Best of luck with your new project.

it's funny you bring that up as sparco is actually heavier (milano alcantra weight) then they list on their site and recaro is lighter (sportline alcantra weight) then they list.

anyhow will do and thanks!

it is the exact same seat, the material and billet hoops in the head rest area along with billet mechanism for some of it is about it. you also get adjustable lumbar, for the price you might as well get the milano as it's a much better material over the torino but for budget oriented the torino is a decent seat but comparable to corbeau cr1.

the recaro sport has adjustable lumbar, leg extension, leather and suede for the same price of the sparco milano and it's lighter with a full steel frame instead of an aluminum hoop seat back with wire mesh for a frame which is more forgiving and less supportive.

i really liked the sparco, especially over my corbeau until i was able to look at the full line of recaro. i'm trying to find a cobra misano to really compare before i make my decision. the frame structure is what really did it for me though, the recaro is definately top notch above corbeau and sparco. i'm just glad i was able to compare before i bought the milano.

I mean seats are nice but over 2 grands on seats seems kinda of crazy to me you could get a awsome set of rims for that. I was lookin at the cloth TRS what do you think about those or do you like the cr1 better.

i don't like corbeau. if your going budget put a set of 4thgen seats in, if you want looks use camaro and if you want comfort use ta seats.

seats are just as important as rims. had i spent as much time looking this time last year instead of buying corbeau i would have only spent 400 more. i lost that much selling my seats to buy new ones.

save up and do it once...

I considered those at one point until I saw how they hold up. Lon from TDS has a set in his RS and the driver's seat faded very quickly and the cloth is pulling away from the harness cut-outs.

I also had Corbeau's a few years back that I bought from a friend. Same deal, the velour cloth faded and the seats couldn't hold up to daily use and started falling apart.

I went with the Sparco Torino for my GTA and have been happy with my choice. I scoured eBay and found some good deals on new seats. I paid $495 +tax and only $30 shipping for my driver's seat.

Sparco actually has all that info. on their site. Go to:
http://www.sparcousa.com/seats_street.asp

and click on "Seat Dimension Guide - PDF" under the "Resources" box on the lower left.

They have lots of info. on their site, you just have to hunt a little for it.

that megan seat looks pretty nice. Too bad it has "megan" stitched in the top. I like it to be plain.

below is summit black vinyl(leather) vs that megan seat. Pretty similar. i think ill decide between these two...

price diff is about $120 though.

Both those seats are basically a copy-cat of the Sparco Torino or Milano as far as styling. One thing to consider about going with a cheaper brand – what is the quality like?

If they don't hold up well to wear-and-tear, then it's not such a good deal.

Kandied-
you might also want to try dynamic auto design seats, i have a pair in my car and they are the most comfortable seats i have ever sat in. Several members of my club have dumped corbeau's and sparco's for the comfort of the DAD seats. The price is also low enough that anyone on a budget could probably afford them.

Also i Emailed that guy Kandied and he wants 600 per turino seat ive seen them less then that 600 is average. So i dunno turino's are seeming to be the best buy for the money though.

no 600 is too much, i can get them at the store here for $550 without trying. too bad you didn't like red or wanted to recover a set. there is a store called ramchargers here in michigan that keeps red seats in their showroom, when they fade they sell them out cheaply at almost 200 under list.

Where is the place you get a deal at cause I probably go ahead and purchase the Turinos. I went to the link you posted before and it said 600 I will also need some brackets.

i can't explain to you step by step how to get the cheapest deal out there. those two links are links of two places that offer some of the best deals. you'll need to contact them and ask for special pricing...

don't ask flat out for special pricing though. look on the internet and find the best price for the pair of torino seats shipped with brackets as you'll need those as well. email one of the two links above and give them a link to that price in your email. they will either price match it or come down lower. dealer cost on them is $313 here in michigan so you'll want to try and get as close to that as possible. if you can get both seats and two sets of brackets shipped to your door for $1,100 your in good shape.

looking at your location i would go with on-track first since they are in michigan and the texas dealer goes through him.

yeah it definately takes alot of searching as it took me several nights to find those links above. $550 is about the norm your going to get, just start emailing them though and they will change their prices.

Car: too many ...
I'm a fan of Bride seats, but they are pretty expensive too. They are really popular in Japan. Call me cheap or whatever, but I think the cheaper seats are good enough. I would rock the Summit seats on the street. And for the track I would rock Kirkey's seats. I could never see myself spending a G on some seats, I mean the entire 4th gen conversion with leather seats costs less than that. Do you guys really think you are getting your money's worth? I haven't sat in all these seats, so maybe I'm missing something here.
