t-top compatability
Does anyone know which year tops are interchangeable? My 92 Z has the Lexan tops, but one has a crack in it. I tried the glass tops off my 84Z but it doesn't latch. My 92 is a daily driver,so any help is appreciated before the next big downpour

That's not true....there were factory Lexan t-tops for one year I believe.
The difference between years is the hook or pin style tops. Although I think my t-tops are a bit of an anomally because I have an 82 and replaced a t-top with one that came from an 85 and if fit. Supposedly only 82-84 should of fit for my car...so I don't know what's up with that. Although I believe you can retrofit, you just have to also get the mounting brackets. Therefore in theory any t-top should work hook or pin of you also get the brackets that are under the trim pieces.
check here..he has a set of Lexan t-tops for sale

He is a reputable third gen parts dealere here in So Cal.

Lexan tops aren't all aftermarket. Where'd you get that information?
CC1 is the glass t-tops RPO
CC3 is the plastic.
The 84 and 92 t-tops won't interchange because of the piece that the latch pins mount to on the body. You need to swap them as well, which requires removing the interior plastics that cover them.

I had Large pin stock Lexan t-tops for my 89 bird. I bought small pin glass t-tops from an earlier camaro. Works great.

I have a spare pair around here somewhere, I was going to put them into my car until I figured out I needed the sockets.

Actually I think you can! I was looking some glass tops for my 91 TA and found some... I was going to have to switch out the trim and all, but I found some... so , if i remember correctly I am pretty sure you can.
If I'm wrong.. I know someone out there with much more knowledge will correct me if I am wrong!
