Depends where you go. If you go to any of the body shops in La Brea they'll charge you around $600-$700 for that. I've been to other body shops in LA where they may be $400....and I know of a place that may do it cheaper than that but not entirely sure on quality. You can also go to So Cal regional board on here, a few guys lie 82FirebirdTA, know of a reputable shop in Tijuana that does good work from what I've seen. I got my car painted in TJ a couple years ago actually at a good shop as well and they probably wouldn't charge more than $200 to fix that.

Get a hammer and have a shop match your paint. Much cheaper.

If I were you I would pull/bang out that dent myself and add some lightweight body filler, then sand it nice and smooth. Then you're only looking at paying the body shop to paint the car which couldn't be more than $150-200.

If you dont know how to do body work then dont, i get cars like this in all day long, i tried to fix it but i ****ed up so can you guys take care of it, then we have to take all of the old bondo off and redo it, so if i was you i would jus take it to a shop, if you have some skill in the field, go for it, bang it around till its good as it gets, dont put any filler on it, most shops wont guarantee the paint if they spray over someone elses body work, just a thought.

Thats way more involved that you need to get into it for that type of damage, jus take it to a shop and get a estimate, shop around, get the best deal and let them take care of it. Dont go cuttin at it and welding if you dont know how to finish the job right...

I have good craftsmanship,I feel confident I could do it , the things that worry me is if that metal they used on my car can hang with my welding machine or vice versa(lincoln electric 400)Also what about the gas tank ,I dont want to blow up my car.

You dont understand, that damage does not need to be fixed with a patch pannel, do some body work to it or get it done, as soon as you start choppin up metal and welding its gonna rust eventually, since you have to coat both sides with something to stop the rust, and i donno if you can get in the back of it to coat it so it doesnt rust, and then you have your gas tank issues, definatelly dont wanna be welding around it, everytime i do it at my shop on a car, i have a guy there with water spraying the back of the weld so it dont lite up the shop, so just take my advice since i do body work everyday and have ti done by a shop, or try it yourself with body work, and if it doesnt come out good, then take it to a shop. But there is no need to start cuttin 1/4 off and welding.

your right 350,I talked to my friend who works at a body shop and said its just a matter of banging it out as close as possible rather than getting crazy with the welding machine.

Told you man, its a dent, if it was ripped beyond repair, then you would have to cut it and patch it, this, just fix it.

that should be an easy dent for a body shop to pop out, and easy to blend. definitely dont get into welding a piece in, it will ruin any anti corrosion properties the metal has and would probably take more work. here's an idea, mount a gfx piece over it
