Alt. to new upper door molds?

Alt. to new upper door molds?
This possible?
Instead of payin $130 a PIECE for new door top molds (inside part that window hits), just gettin some felt and puttin it where the old was? would it hold? Its really anoying to hear the window squeal everytime im roll it up or down. In the near future im going to have to take off both door panels and do some work anyway just wonderin if this would work to fix this problem.
