Door rust
The driver door on my 88 Firebird Formula is starting to rust from the inside out and I can't seem to stop it.
Is there a name for the shell part of the door and is there a way to get that part aside from going to a junkyard? Or do I have to buy the complete door?

Complete door shell (expensive--around $400), or no rust junkyard (I have found them for $150 a door with glass and motor). They all start to rust from inside out on the bottom door seam. One cause is by water sitting in your door due to clogged drain holes. Good luck

I saw Fbody motorsports had doors ( http://www.fbodymotorsports.com/inc/...l?v=1&pid=1975 ), would that be a good place to order from?

I have not got parts form them before, but price seems right. See if they will send you some pics of bottom of door before ordering. I have got "rust free" parts before from similar companies; they were rust free but made up in the number of dents/scratches/dings.
Also be carefull of shipping; some of those companies charge a fortune for crateing/shipping. Nothing worse than Buying a "used" door at "new" price due to outrageous shipping/crating fees.
