That speedometer is an aftermarket one. It's to replace the dual needle one in 82-84 Camaros. I saw a 200 mph one on ebay a couple months back, but thought it was a fake.

I would not exactly say those 140mph Z28 speedos are rare I have seen them in several cars we have towed and in at lest one car I have parted out. I even have one in my Iroc right now to replace my 145 missing its needle!

I find most of them on 82-84 actually mine is the first 85-92 I have seen one in and thats cause I put it in. As far as them being aftermarket I dont know but it is possible I have heard that before however it seems to be pretty much GM quality so who knows. Sorry if I misunderstood what you were saying before I have had this conversation several times before and it usually ends up with arguing

lol no biggy i just did a search and i read that someone stated the 140 "Z-28" gauge clusters and 200 mph "turbocharged" gauge clusters are gale banks aftermarket ones. but im not 100% sure but i know they did sell them. i like the gauge but id actually like one that goes higher, iv been between the Z and 2 and i could easily go more but whats the sence if i dont even know how fast im going as it was.....

years ago, i read a chevy hiperformance mag, if not to be mistaken, and there was a guy who had a camaro and had a adjusted 220 mph speedo in his car. it looked exactly like the iroc speedo's font and size markings. looked really really awesome, but i have never heard of anyone selling them. does anyone else know of this?? either it read up to 220 or 200, but i know it was in the 200's. the car acually went like 217, was black and had gta black mesh wheels. thanks, later

I always thought the gauge cluster in my 87 IROC was rare. it was a 160mph speedo with a metric oil psi and water temp. Ive yet to see another 160 speedo with metric gauges.
