About to buy a car, question about some minor damage..

Hello! I'm about to purchase this lovely 91 Camaro RS from an ex girlfriend of mine for about $1K. My problem is that she rear ended someone (not bad) and now the hood sticks up a little and won't close right. Here are the pictures

and

Could anyone give some insight as to how to approach this? Any input is appreciated.. thanks in advance

Car: candy blue 85 z28
Engine: 305 tpi LB9
Transmission: 700r4 crazy beefed up one
Axle/Gears: ones with teeth
is the plate included in the deal?

look like that hood is junk has some warpage in it from the pics. the front supports for the head lights may have broken, the nose is out of align. go under the car and look at the metal bumper and see if it is straight. if it is it may be just some loosening bolts and tightening back up in propper alignment.

needs new headlights too they have water in em....

grill is missing too...

pop open the hood and look down where the hood is supposed to latch and make sure that the support for the hood latch on the car isnt pushed in from the wreck

No need to worry about the plate, LOL.. I'll be replacing it with a OEM grille, and emblem. I think it may be a latch problem too, because it doesn't open right anymore. When I was with her, it wouldn't be a problem getting under the hood. Now you can do wiggle your fingers to hold down a piece of metal to free the hood. If this is the case, would I need to replace to the front bumper, hood, or something else?

Honestly... I'd keep looking. Talk her down to $800 or better. Who knows what else is wrong with that poor car.

I don't think there is much wrong with it. The interior is flawless (almost) for a car at 200K miles. I'm going to be swapping out for a LS1/T56 combo. It's only this small problem that I'm wondering about if it's a matter of replacing the front bumper or hood or something else.

first thing i'd do with that thing is go to a body shop and have them put it on a frame rack. It'll cost you probably 200 dollars but then you will know if things are tweaked for a reason.

on the passenger side the hood seems to go below the quarter panel, on the driver side it seems to be equally above the quarter panel. And then either the nose droops, or the hood needs to be readjusted downwards.

you need to go over and look at the car inside the front end where the latch and radiator support is and see how bent up it actually is that will give you an idea of how bad the damage actually is

the cars that dont show it visually from the exterior are sometimes the ones that are the worst
