Good day at the boneyard, but I'm ready for round 2
Well I went to the local junkyard today with a buddy of mine looking for some leather seats, and I found better... My dash pad has been cracked and in overall sh-tty condition since I bought it. Some vents from the interior are broken, almost all of them. And the arm rests are a faded red, which goes with my ENTIRE RED INTERIOR. So I go to the j-yard today, and I see an 86 Z28. I say to my friend, lets go check it out, maybe it'll have a few good vents in it I can get. Well, it did, and as I was pulling them out, I looked up at the dash pad, and I flipped out. It was a lil dirty, but not a single crack or imperfection in it. And I look at the all black interior, and I flip out as I saw the arm rests, in all magnificent glory, in great shape. I got the dash pad, arm rests, and vents for the grand total of $110. I took all of it home, and put some mothers plastic/ vinyl ceaner on them, and they look BRAND NEW!
So heres the real question: I am in need of a new driverside fender, and I was wondering if one from that 86Z will fit on my 92 RS?

if i'm not mistaken, the fender will fit, as far as shape/dimensions are concerned... but the part that's different is the holes for the side rockers/ground effects right behind the front wheel. I had to put a fender from an 89 IROC onto a 91 RS and such was the case. REALLY easy to fix tho... just make a template with the correct hole locations from the 92 fender, mark the locations onto the 86 fender with a sharpie, n' take a drill of the right size to it.

It should match up pretty good, but u might have to drill new holes for the newer ground effects...and make sure u align it right.....
