'85 dash removal.......
does anyone have instruction or diagrams on how to remove your entire dash board? no help from my chiltons manual. my dash needs replaced bad! the whole piece (already got the top off) thanks.....

did it to my 85....essentially, just keep removing stuff. get the hush panels from underneither pulled off, remove bolts to frame on the corners, remove bolts to firewall on the top (under the old pad). There will be bolts holding the rest of the instrument cluster on that you can also remove, then remove the cluster, there are two bolts that go into ur steering column, those'll have to come out. plus numerous other bolts that are slipping my mind right now. It really isn't difficult, on mine, the hardest thing to do was to remove the stupid speedocable, its only one clip, and you might have to pull hard, cause this might be the first time it's going to come out in 19 years.

yeah, that damn speedo clip was holding everything up! and when i finally get bk there, it was one silly screw holding it on.... so how do i get everything bk on when i get my new pieces? is it easy? how lond did it take u?

can u fit 4th gen dash's and stuff in there? i know i can use the seats.... thanks :hail:

don't know how hard it is to get all the stuff back in place, as i was doing a 4th gen swap. The 4th gen stuff fits, just needs some tweaking, but it'll be some more work if you're trying to make it look factory. And that, will require more than just a "little" modification, it'll be somewhat extensive.
