anyone have any actual experience with this, I was planning on a 12 point cage with subframe connectors integrated into the cage, am I just fighting an uphill battle with the t tops and their supposedly softer frame or would the cage make up for this

sorry i'm not really looking for a story about a guy you knew or what difference such and such part made, but I'm having a very hard time finding any sort of useful information on how much actual potential a t top car has for autocross, and the autocross specific forums don't offer much about american cars, its mainly miatas, civics and a few subarus, they'll get spanked, i'm just looking for a platform I'd like to do it from, I happen to have a T top 89 that was free, so for the price of a naked frame hard top I could just cage what I have and honestly I'd rather have the t tops, any referals to other sources of information about autocrossing these cars would be greatly appreciated

I've seen many T-top Camaros auto-x.

I would assume that you'll just need subframe connectors, a good strut tower brace and anything else you can think of to stiffen the car.

As far as potential, I'd assume a T-Top has pretty much then same as a hardtop....
