Question about duplicolor fabric and vinyl spray.
I am doing an int. overhaul today and I got a can of tan duplicolor vinyl and fabric spray. So far it has kicked *** and drys very quick.
My question is How well does this stuff work on Carpet??? My carpet looks like hell and I need to replace it but I wouldn't mind painting it just to make it look a little better. Has anyone done this? how well will it hold up if I spray the carpet or sail panels????
Any tips would be great, I figure I should show a before and after pic to fgive you guy an iea of how well this stuff works. All of the panels in my ride currently look like this...

I don't know, haven't put the panels in yet lol. I just started the project.
I would imagien they are moderatly heavy duty to scratches, sicne nothings ever gonna be int he back they'll never get scratched asied from T-Tops but they sit in the trunk hole.

Lol, don't use it on carpet. The spray will only make the carpet rough feeling and hard. If you are looking to change the color of carpet without getting a new carpet use what they call, trunk spatter spray. Its a waterbased spray that allows the color to sink in without drying up hard like paint.
Oh yeah, after definately looks like new again.

Since you said its a Fabric and Vinyl spray I assume its allright to use it on ABS plastic since you did? Meaning the can didn't specifically say not to use it on ABS plastic, so it should hold up allright on your panels? And what about the panels original texture? Does it show through the paint? I need to paint my panels one day and am trying to find one that will actually stick w/o scratching and have the original texture.

I would imagine it should hold up alright to the panels, it's pertty touch stuff so far and hasn't scratched at all, I won't be touching them for a week so it can settle.

After looking at the speaker panel you sprayed, my thoughts would be that the color should be a darker brown instead of a tan. Any ideas on the color match from original. I like the finished product myself. Good Job.
