LED Guages?
I was scavaging around a junkyard the other day and i came across an early third gen. Looked too me like an 82 thru 84, it had teh nearly falt frotn end with teh black headlight pockets, and the three ventholes below the edge of the hood.
The exterior was in sorry shape and it looked like it had been sitting there apart for a good 5 years. The driver's door would actually open up, and i peered inside, and I was nearly knocked down. The foul smell of mildewed interior and dry rotting vynil. I looked at the guage clusters and was perplexed by the configuration.
On the right was a vertical tower of sorts, with numbers starting at the bottom with 0 and ending at the top with nine. I didn't have much time so I didn't look to notice anything else.
But my question is, is it possible for an early third gen - or any third gen at all for that matter- to have had an LED guage system? Everything on the car looks very old, and I'm not sure when the LED guages began to come around, but it all looks like it was in the car fresh off the assembly line. Did GM make any cars with LED guages?
