Hey when i bought my car it came with a brown headliner and sail panels with the black carpet ,trim and all that stuff, the guy that had it before me just had the headliner replaced so it isnt a fading problem, it doesnt look bad at all , but i want to know if this is right and what color your guys headliner and sail panels are???

naaa, i dont think that was original...my black 89 IROC had all black interior. and i think all the camaros around this time did too...i think 2 tone interiors went out about 85 or so...and i think it was more or less a Firebird thing...but i could be wrong so wait around for the more knowledgable members...

Mine's an 83 and it came with brown headliner and sailpanels. Some of the trim was in black and some in a dark grey. The carpet is brown and the seatshave brown in them also. Who ever came up with that color skeem must have been drunk. I just got done painting all the int. trim black and will put in black carpet this winter. Also recovering the headliner and sailpanels.
My brother in-law's 92 z28 had grey int. cloth, grey seats and belts and some grey and black trim. GM seemed to like combining colors.

I bought my black-on-black '89 RS new and it's black interior was ALL black except for the seat inserts...

mine is a 92 so it might not be the same but the only grey things in my interior are my guage frames and my shift boot basically no tan or brown or anything in there

my 86 was black and navy blue.....odd cuz I was always told not to mix dark blue and black ....oh well all black now!
