I bought my '82 Trans Am from a professional racer back around graduation. She sat for two years being ignored. My dad and I are restoring her. The front seats won't move back or forth on their tracks, what's up with that?

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

The dude might've bolted the rails together so they wouldn't slide on him- or they just rusted up. Just remove the seats (one 13mm bolt in each corner, under the plastic "feet covers"), flip 'em upside down, and see what's up. If the rails were welded together, or otherwise ruined, you can hit the junkyards and use the rails from any 82-92 Firebird or Camaro's front seats. 4 lonnnnnng 10 mm bolts hold the rails to the seats.
