nope didn;t go over silve since this is my first real paint job i went conserative with the base and used a light blue. i was told that to make shooting the candy safer limiting the chances of blotching and streaking to use a darker base. with the silver you would get the full affect of the candy with the darker base it mutes the candy a little.
when i shot my hood i was getting alot of streaking real tough to get the overlap perfect. so i changed the direction of my fluid tip to up and down from side to side and did 2 coats on the car that way and it evened everything out nicely. and it was easier than walking the lenght of the car i could just shoot from bottom to top on the sides. you may want to try this approach if your new to painting. or just keep iit in mine if your streaking alot.

I am so jealous of how good your car looks Jeff, some day you'll find that your car "magically" turned into a white berlinetta when you wake up... and for some reason I will just so happen to be driving a car that looks a ton like yours . Did you win the bid on that dual snorkel air cleaner on eBay man? I was gunna bid on it but saw that you had already and didnt wanna screw you out of it hahah.

Jeff... for you streaking the hood.. I know it is a bit too late now but for future references do it from top to bottom, trying to get it all even and if you see streak, you just fix your gun to shoot less material, you rise your pressure a bit and spray quickly in diagonal to even it all up.. it's the easiest way
