Dashpad compatibility

Is the dashpad from an 88 Pontiac Formula 350 the same as an 89 Iroc-Z dashpad ?

they are not exactly the same but they both fit the same. The firebird dash pads have removable grill and the camaro ones just had slits.

I take that to mean the speaker grills ? By the way, thanks for the quick response.

They are two different dash pads.
I tried installing a Camaro dash pad in a Trans Am, it didn't work. I initially sold the Trans Am dash pad to a guy with a Camaro. The Trans Am dash pad didn't work in his Camaro.

Maybe it depends on the year of the pad. I'm trying to find a dash pad myself and it's no simple task...

I tried putting the dash pad out of my 84 firebird ,which is in perfect condition, into my 87 camaro, the fit was not even close. It fit from side to side ,but it did not seem as wide as the camaro dashpad . there had to be at least a 4 inch difference.

Camaro and Firebird pads are NOT interchangable. The width of both pads is the same but Camaro pads are deeper. Also, the mounting holes are in completely different places.
