window trim

Anybody know the best way to remove the rear window metal trim without damaging it?

Transmission: R154
Axle/Gears: 3.91 LSD
If i recall right, I'm pretty sure that you can't remove it..
I painted mine on the glass while i had the hatch off..

For painting purposes, I am not sure how it is attached. Thought a heat gun if it is glued. New pieces run approx $300 per half.

wow.. $300 is a little steep..

i could make my own for nothing..
