Mud flaps
Well after looking at my cars paint at the lower doors and GFX and behind the back wheels I've come to the conclusion I need mud flaps, I know they exists and they dont look too bad, certainly better than fixing the paint and having todo it again next year.
Anyone know where I can buy any of these for a '91 GTA? I'd like some brand specific ones really, that says Trans am or Firebird or somesuch.
I've searched but not found anything on the topic of where to buy them so I decided to make a thread of my own.
I know alot of people don't like them so please, there's no need to remind of how white trash and generally awful it is, it's far worse to look at chipped paint.

Car: 89 f-bird and some others

I found mine at a junkyard. Pulled them off a Transam I think. Got silver bird logo's on them.
I bought them for the same reason. First time i washed the car I thought there some still mud specs or something. Then I realized it was rock chips flung up from the tires. Anyway I wasn't gonna stand for that no more.

those lady mudflaps are what truckers put on their "ride". Try to fix your exhaust pipes on that berlinetta man..they are looking ragged bro. Well yeah im done ranting. If you need mudflaps just go to autozone. But please dont get those lady ones...

Do what I did, I found a pair that were the size I needed for my wheel width and then I bought some plexiglass pieces and made them out of that using the black plastic ones as templates. The cost of the 8x11 pieces of plexiglass was about 3.00 ea. That way they are not as noticable on the car, and if one breaks you have the black plastic ones to make another one. I got the idea from a Corvette owner 10years ago when I saw his high dollar car at a show. If you do this be sure and get the plexiglass cutter to cut it. Then use sand paper to take off the sharp edges.
