Headliners
anyone know what the best product to use to glue my headliner back into place. the cloth fabric is starting to hang and the fabric just above the pannel speakers is starting to flap in the breeze when the windows are down.
anyone have a sagging headliner that they fixed.. how did you fix it?

Once that headliners starts to sag, no amount of effort or products are going to stop it. Now is the time to come to the conclusion the only repair is to replace it.

not true, if you simply spray adhesive on the headliner backing you won't accomplish anything, as the yellow particle **** will continue to deterirate, and it'll simply fall off again, and again, and again. Follow the tech articleon this board about recoving your headliner, i did mine and love it (except i screwed up the t-top area and need to re-do it again in the curves) but w/ the tops on, the car looks awesome, and the top looks OEM.
Essentially it's this, grab 3M ahesive spray, get some fiberglass cloth, and headliner material from Jo-Anns fabrics. Pulls your old liner out, pull the old cloth from it, and try to scrape away as much of the old backing as possible, the glue etc. After you get the board cleaned, you apply the fibreglass cloth to the board, make sure to get the cloth over areas that are weaker in the headliner, especially cracks, after the cloth has been adhered to the board (w/ the adhesive) the headliner will be much more solid...mine was night and day difference, ad the corners towards the sail panels were cracked, but not broken, doing this fixed the problem all together. After this is done, and everythings dried overnght or so, you'll want to place the headliner material on the board, if you have t-tops make sure you leave extra material around those corners, and then you'll have to cut them into fingers so that it'll fold around the entire corner piece.....hardtop should be easy and no problem, very straight forward. Once you're all done, turn ur headliner back over, find the holes for your overhead console, or dome light (from the back side of the headliner) and w/ an exacto, cut the holes out. The light should be larger than the holes cut anyway, so it looking pretty won't matter to much as it'll be covered...after that, re-install the headliner and drive away knowing you've got an essentially new headliner for 40 bux, vs. the 120 it'd cost you for the ABS one.

when there was a GP for ABS headliners on NTTGA.net, I ordered mine with that covering. I have the half vinyl / half cloth door panels and thought the vinyl would be kick *** on the headliner....come to find out, that headliner was the best idea I ever had.

yea...the same guy that posts ABS Headliners on ebay. I would not deal with him again...he ripped of a few friends of mine. Besides, he (along with everyother abs headliner vendor) buys them (bare or covered) from somewhere in California. Hawks and all the other places are just re-sellers. I am still searching for the actual people who do it in Cali.

Just getting some interest in another GroupPurchace going.
I have another camaro I bought and it needs a new headliner and I know of 3 others that are getting in on it...so when I find a great deal, it's on like Donkey Kong!
