Console pad removal

How do you get the pad off the metal little latch? do you have to take the whole console off or what??? I am going to get a new one off ebay and want to know how to get my ripped one off to put the new one on!!!

Transmission: 700R4
Take the lid off the console and then remove the hinge and the screws at the latch. Take the lid and slowly seperate the metal piece starting at the rear. The latch fits into a groove at the front. Not a hard job to seperate it. I have posted on this before.
