New seals before paint?
is it advisable to replace the door/trunk weather seals before or after painting?
i dont want them getting painted, then again, i dont want to scratch the paint replacing them.
thanks

Paint, then install the new seals. It's harder trying to get nasty looking overspray off of the new seals than it is being careful putting the new ones on after paint.

The hatch seal is removeable, just has a little adhesive up in the valley of it to keep it attached. You can put it on now if you have leaking issues and take it off for the new paint.

defitanly do seals after paint, remove them before paint and you will get a nicer job as there will be no tape off lines near the seals. if you have t tops it is a great time to clean off all the old seals and prep any rust often found in this area.
