Finally finished rust repair on inner fender!!
Last year when I bought my car I posted a couple pics of the rust that had eaten a hole inside the rear inner fender. Over the past couple months I cut out the old stuff, butt welded in replacement pieces and I just finished putting the 2nd coat of paint on it. Tommorow I get to see if I remember how the interior goes back in after a year of being out

overall repair looks good man. I recently was going through the same sort of repairs. What you should consider is re undercoating the wells. Only thing i would have done differently was use por15, sand it down, then spray on the paint. But good job.
It does look like you had a bad ground for those welds though. then again, you might have just wanted to take extra measures to prevent burning through.

Ya I saw your posts a while ago. Im coating the underside tommorow morning with some of that rubberized rocketguard.
In the 2nd pic that black stuff is por 15. I coated both sides of the panel and the welds with it before priming it and putting the red paint on.
I had the worst welder to do those welds but it doesnt matter because they got grinded down smooth after. I couldnt weld for more than like 2 seconds without burning a hole no matter what I did.

It seems to be ok so far, the trunk well didnt go so well. I followed the instructions and shot it with primer when the por 15 was still a little tacky.
The fenderwell had been dried for a few days and I didnt even sand it down I just shot primer on it and its holding better than the trunk well for sure!!
When I primed the trunk well it was wierd because at first it was covered but then there were like cracks in the primer where the black showed through and it had a very wierd textured crack look but oh well its coated well, and covered with carpet most importantly!!
