I did buy it at autozone, however it is actually made quite well. Its all aluminum and no cheap plastic.
The color of the car is going to be Chrysler Platinum by the way.

I think it could look good depending on the application. If the car has accents to match it won't look bad. How is that installed? Is it an adhesive, or did you have to cut/drill the quarter? Reason i ask is if I install it, can it be removed if I decide I don't like it.

I was wondering what one of those would look like on a thirdgen. Now we know.
Just like some of you, I can't decide if I like it or not.

imho those look very v!cey. But, I am the kind of person that has my own style of taste, and my taste isn't better than anyone elses.
Keep up the good work, and don't let a few negative feedbacks get you down, because......to each his own

The door is a direct-fit for Chevy trucks. I had to tweak it a bit to make it fit the contour of the quarter pannel. I have it bolted to the body. I did have to grind a little bit behind where the back of the outside mounting ring meets the edge of the body. I had to do this for the nuts on the back to clear. I'll try to post some pics of this to make it easier to understand.
Thanks for all the comments, even the negative ones. To each their own, I like it and thats why I did it.

I like the idea of it, but there's no way I can make an opinion of it without the car finished. It's like saying I hate a book without reading the ending.
If I was writing the end of this book, the door frame would be smoothed into the quarter panel, so all you see are the bolts and then the door itself, and then paint match it to the car. Nice work so far; looking forward to seeing your version of the story.

The Mustang Bullit had that gas cap before the Eclipses did so it's not that bad! All the rycers were just jealous of the Mustang Bullit but couldn't afford one after spending $20,000 making their $4000 beater look like something out of Star Wars so they just had to settle for the gas cap. Mitsu seems to follow rycer trends becuase you can get an Eclipse now with Altezza tail lights from the factory. I personally like that gas cap, maybe it is becuase I had a Bullit though. My ex has it now becuase we got it with the insurance money when a rycer ran a red light(on purpose) and t-boned her 2001 V6(nowing some rycers that was probably on purpose too).

im a bit of an artist, done a ton of concept drawings in my day etc, and have to say that i like it, in concept....i can see it looking good on a car, if the car is done the right way. It's not something i'd enjoy seeing on a street car, or even a strip car, infact the only time i really like the style is on a road race vehicle, inwhich everything's been removed (save for two seats max) rollcage , aftermarket guages, but the car is also in need of a good paint job, nice wheels, and sticky tires...from the outside it looks like a street car on steroids, from the inside it's pure race , and the look of the gascap could tie the two together brinign in the thought of "form following functoin." .
but that's just me.
