Wow, I didn't get to read all of the posts here but it makes me want to cry seeing another 3rd gen like that Glad you were OK. Hopefully you can pick up the pieces and put her back together again. Its got a great driveline but its got its problems. little bit of rust on the bottom of the door ****y ****y paint and not to forget the interior is TOAST! its shifter and door locks give me trouble but this thing ****ing flys compared to my poor ol RS. i got sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many freebies with this car!!! a holley 600 and a 750 plus the 600 on the car a exra built tranny driveshaft a box of goodies and not ot forget a 2800 stall ande a 4000 stall for the nova! this kid roced and was so nice got all that for *drumroll* 2500 flat! i feel so great this car rocks! here are some stats.
1984 Monte Carlo SS
355ci
Edelbrock EPS Manifold
Holley 600 CFM Carb
2.2/1.6 76cc heads

Hedman Longtubes 2 1/2 pipes to flowmaster 40's w/dumps before rear.

TH-350 Tranny w/mild shift kit

Posi 3:73 Rear
plus more goodies stall converter ect ect

OK, so now that I read a little bit more I see you are abondining the RS? Selling any parts? Congrats on the SS my brother had an 86 MCSS with a stout 406 that accelerated just as fast as it melted tires!(and destroyed 700r4's!) Hellofalotta push for such a tank Good luck with it and have fun!

yeh easy on the curves, i dont think they can handle as well as your RS could , but who wants to take curves when you can kick *** on a straightaway

lol curves are outa the question!! i gota get it aligned and buy a new o-ring for the dipstick and get a new shifter cable... it was stock on a ratchet shifter and i went one two and slmed into third and the cable snaped in half. this car is insane compared to my RS. had to leave to local hang out to go home that was the only ****y part i have two videos of races wana watch!... rightclick save as. First is vs a thunderbird super coupe beat him by 2 cars. second is vs a integra gave him a 7 car headstart and by the end put 3 cars on him... http://www.ftlauderdaleracing.com/m...p=getit&lid=128

You bought the car off of a girl? And it's funny when you go from slow rs to mildley fast monte and to me they would both be slow, too you it's like night and day ROFLMAO! I was liek that when I went from 2.8 mpfi to 305 t.p.i

I'm glad you like the car and by the sound of it you'll be pouring an a$$loa dof cash into it but you will know everything about ii.
