Car: 1991 Firebird GTA
Engine: 350 C.I
Transmission: Auto 700 R for now
I found a firebird in the junk yard that happened to be in spectacular shape minus the *** end cut off, so I took the sawzall to it .
to install, you have to cut/ grind out the old section of frame, hence to do this the car should be supported in such a manner that, it will not move, stay straight, and have plenty of room to work as well, once it is out, line it up, drill for good spot welds, prep it up clampit into location and let her have it. I found it to be very handy to mark the location of the old frame section to the floor of the car
and some may wonder, is the car straight, it most certainly is, verified this as soon as it was done.
if anyone would like serious detail on this repair, i will follow up from this thread
Cheers
