Edges, door jams... with full repaint
Hey guys, I am about to start prepping the body of my car. Got a question about the painting process.
What is the correct way to paint all the edges, inside doors, trunk, hood and anywhere else were the paint would be visible. I've done a lot of reading and the surface painting itself seems relatively straighforward, but what about the rest?

Are you changing color? or just a full refinish? If changing color, it is vital that you take the parts off the vehicle, and prep the inside for paint as if it were a new part.
Clean thouroughly, paint all the insidws and re-install.

yeah, I am going from red to black. I wanted to avoid doing this, but looks like I'll have to take doors off after all. The hatch should come off too, isn't it?
What about the edges of all the panels (doors, fenders...), when should they be painted? When I paint the car itself? Or should I do the edges (somehow), then mask them off so when I do the car itself, paint doesn't get into the cracks/seams
Thanks
