Too Much Gap
between the door and quarter panel. I have tried loosing the hinges six bolts and moving the door back but not giving. Have anyone had this problem and what is the solution to fix it. I have just finished installing the hinge repair kit from "TDS" no more drag but this gap is too big. It was there before I installed the hinge kit so as this restoration project goes along im trying to fix another problem with my 3rd gen..

hmm convertable.... maybe sub frame connectors. is the car sagging?
how is the other door on the passenger side, has it ever been hit is the other question. could the body be tweeked? other panels out of alinement on car. what does the leading edge of the drivers door look like for gap.

She has SFC's, that cars has not been hit to cause body flex, just little door dents and I side swipe a pole but nothing major. The passenger side has about 1/4 inch gap but it's perfect around the whole door. The fenders, hood, nose, rear bumper and hatch is off the car while I strip it and get here ready for some paint.
