contaminating Urethane Primer???
Got a question. I just about flipped $h!t today when I found out that my father got motor oil all over the nose of my urethane-primed Camaro. Urethane primer is all that I have on the car right now; no sealers, no top coats. It supposedly happened yesterday. I washed the oil off with dish soap, scrubbed nice and hard with a coarse brush and then a wash mit. So here's my question: do you think that the motor oil soaked down into the primer, or do you think that the urethane would resist that? Do you think cleaning it with dish soap and a chemical prep cleaner will be enough to save it, or do I have to strip it all down again?
If I have to strip it down again, my dad's a dead man.

Hmmm.....the car has been in primer for 4 or 5 weeks now. It's Napa Econobody 2k Urethane Primer.

Make sure you use a plastic cleaner.(Avoid Wax and Grease remover, it will pull the mold release agents out of the plastic...)
Napa should have a good product. Most of the paint companies do.
Good start, using dish soap... though
