Anything 82-92 will fit anthing 82-92.
If you should choose, using the search function of this board will net you all the answeres you will need, most likely, in the detail you require as well.

What I did say was to search.
Gfx swapping has been covered from A to Z over the years and just about any question has been asked and answered in almost finite detials to the question.
If you want to nit-pick, feel free. Don't quote me as your example though as I did not specify that there was no modifications involved in making the parts fit.

Yes you can make stuff fit, no welding required lol. All you'll need to do is drill holes, and maybe saw parts of sheetmetal off. General rule of thumb is to make sure you get all the brackets for whatever style GFX you'll be putting on. Body kits for 82-84 models are designed to match up with GFX from 82-84 models, thats why modification is necessary on different styles of GFX. It dosnt have anything to do with any other part of the body. An 82 front fender is the same thing as a 92 front fender, maybe just different cuts/holes/etc to mount different style GFX or maybe a different size side marker. It still fits and works fine. I'm running an 82 glass hood on my 89 IROC. How good the GFX fit depend on how good you installed them. Just because minor modification is needed to make it fit dosnt mean it dosnt fit. Not everything is "bolt-on"

No, actually he didn't. And he is right, anything from the third gen era will fit a 3rd gen, you may have to drill new holes and make some other small changes...but they will fit.
