firebird with camaro front - just ask!
HI !
I am a Chinese in Taiwan, I would like to know how hard is it to put camaro front on my firebird?
I am not carzy or don't like firebird front, I just want to add fog light and fix the headlight problem, the camaro look as good as firebird, so I am thinking it could be done if I buy camaro front bumper and head light and do some modify to the hood........is it?
There is no any camaro in Taiwan, only firebird, it may be interesting to drive a firemaro!!!

Uh yeah you can probably do it if you don't mind it not being even at all with the quarter panels.
But if you have lots of time yeah you can probably make it fit. And I mean LOTS of time.
You may have to drill new holes in the camaro bumper to make it fit up to your existing holes, im not sure.
Good luck!

if you get a Trans Am bumper from 85-90 it'll have a space for high beams. you'll have to add the ground effects all the way around to make it look right though. The half firebrid and half camaro thing doesn't look so great and would be a lot more work than going with the Trans Am bumper.

I just did this a few weeks ago. You can't just change the bumper, you need both fenders and the hood from a camaro as well, once you have that everything just bolts in, you do need to cut the high beam sockets off of the camaro and splice them into the headlight wires, and it will work fine.

stran63r has it down... thats what you'd have to do to put a camaro front on a firebird. basicly, getting 85-90 firebird gfx would look alot better, imho... i've seen one of those firemaro's in person, and it really doesnt look right... plus, i'd imagine it'd suck to get the front end parts shipped to taiwan...
oh, and kaotik, american cars are popular over there... search for "japanese 3rdgen" or "japanese camaro" on this site and you'll see what they do with 3rdgens over there.. they soup 'em up, and very tastefully too, i might add! they even have a following for astro vans and lowriders over there... i've seen it in magazines!
