I have already started the re-hab, this will teach me a lesson, if you love it, don't sell it!!. Due to the massive level of rust damage, i will be building custom floor pans for the car, the frame will also be modified to accomodate for its current condition. Things are pretty messy right now though. If anyone has any thoughts, hints, info, on this situation, i am open to all suggestions

I thought about the floor pans, but the cheapest i can get them here is 450 per, If i build the pans, i can repair everything that the new pan will not, and clean the inside of the frame while i am there, There is alot to be done, but i will make sure that i update as things improve!

My car looked like that for a day. Eh. There's how I found my floorpans were so bad. They looked bad under the car, but like absolute crap under the carpet. Holes and huge crackes. Now I need an air chisel, a welder, and some sheet metal. I did get some work on the floor pans though. Some previous owner tried to jack it up on the floorpan and put a huge dent in it . So I got to jump up and down on it and make it flatter. But now my driver seat doesn't quite line up right. Oh well. And some resto tips would be much obliged

I need to do that as well, mine are looking about that bad. Good luck, parts arent cheap. 450 a pair seems to be the going rate for those pans, if I find em cheaper I'll let you know.

Mine are probably that bad too... but I say screw it, as I'll drive her till she dies!
Good luck on the work though. Let us know how it turns out!

Already half done bringiing it back, and you could hardly tell that they are home made pans, but they are hard. 17 gauge steel, hammer formed, heat shrunk in place, working nicely, another update pic soon hopefully

depends on where you are at, I know were 4-5 cars in the bone yards around here are with good solid bodies with just a few surface rust spots on the pans, all had blown up v6's in them except one, a 89 formula 350, but its nose was crunched in a police chase. But I would guess buy the time you get them from the yard etc 400 doesn't seem too bad.
