Question about wide Corbeau TRS seats and Roll Bar
I just ordered a s&w 8 point roll bar and I am looking to get some seats but I have a few worries.
Has anyone had any experience with fitting the wide version of the TRS seats in their camaro and still had room for the door bar from the cage?
seems like it would be tight and I dont want to order the wide seats and find out they dont fit well. Shipping them back and restock fee will be outragious.
I am 5'10, 220 lbs and fluctuate between a 36 and 38 inch waist. I am kind of broad in the shoulder and rib areas so I worry whether the standard TRS seats will accomidate me.
Anyone have any insight for me? much apreciated!

I have a roll cage in my Camaro, and want to put in TRS seats. The only problem I had with the roll bar, was it was in the way of the seatbelt guides that are screwed into the seats.
As I look at a picture of my car with the roll cage in it and a picture of the TRS seats, it looks like the seat will fit with very close to the same amount of clearance as the stock seats.
However, to be sure, I would put in the TRS seats before installing the roll cage. That way, you can always modify the roll cage to accomodate your seats.
Also, the Corbeau (or any aftermarket seat) brackets will sit about 2 or so inches higher, which can be uncomfortable. I recommend modifying the brackets to sit at least 1-1.5" lower... use your stock brackets as a guide, try to make them the same height.
You should be fine, but put the seats in before making the roll cage a permanent fixture.
EDIT: Corbeau says their normal seat will accomodate up to a 36" waist... so on your low side, you should fit in there nice and snuggly.
I would also like to add (seriously) that this is a neat little reason for you to get some more excercise and trim down a bit... your excuse is so you can fit in your car. So as long as you trim some weight, you are good to do... so while your car is parked with the interior stripped out, try running to work.

i would say no....i had my cage custom built around my trs standard size and it's very tight. so tight with the console that i have material in between the cage and bolster to keep seat damage from happening. i'm 6'2" 195 and i feel small in the seats. the wide version is pretty hefty, you'll definately need to modify the cage.
