rear interior panel wont align

Car: 1990 RS
Engine: 305
Transmission: T-5
If you are referring to the panel with the hatch lock in it, make sure you engage the retaining piece on the driver's side into the tab on the side moulding.
If it's not in place, there will be a 1/2" gap down the side of the rear panel.
If that's not it, can you provide more details...which panel(s) exactly, and where is the gap?
Is it that the panel once lined up, and now doesn't?

the panel with the hatch motor in it wont aling with the two one the left or right of it,and i'm not sure if they ever aligned , the guy i bought it from didnt know to much about it , told me "gotta buy a spare, this one doesnt have one." and i found the Original spare in the back after i got it home! so not sure if they ever aligned
