Wasn't sure where to post this, but this seemed like the best place. I have a question on legal placement of a horn, im just about to get my z on the road and she really has no functional horn and the guts inside the steering wheel for the horn are all gone, not to mention i have no idea how they even work, at least with the wheel i have, there is no give in the button so i don't understand how the contacts would work (its an 89 z28 btw) so basically i just rigged a new one up, they are pretty cheap, and wired it to like a push button switch thing and im gonna mount it to one of the wheel arms.(at least for inspection) i was just wondering if this seemed legal or if im gonna get **** for it. Im assuming this would be like a nationwide type code or whatever so i don't think state would matter, but im in MA.

 

I cant imagine why it would be an issue. Sounds like a good spot to me.
