firebird pod removal
i'm going ot be installing a new carpet soon, and it looks like i'll have to remove the radio/hvac controls to put it in correctly.. how would i go about removing it?

After you get the radio and havac out, you'll also see 2 10mm bolts at the top of the pod holding it to the dash. Remove those and the pod comes right out.

You dont have to remove that pod, however the console must come out. You can just push the carpet up under that pod.

this is what my interior looks like console out of a 98 SS or Z28, i forget which... ugly red carpet with grey seats .. yuck.. with black carpet

I think the center console would look alot better if it was black. Also some nice MOMO red/black seats would look killer. Dont they make em now so it molds to your body? Sweet

no, i'm all set on seats... i 'm changing my interior to black and grey... black carpet/panels, grey headliner/sails.... should look really good on my black car. i'm still debating selling it, and if i do, a brand new looking interior would be a good selling point. hey man, if you ever wanted to come by and check out my car, that would be very cool.

its not a z28, its an 87 IROC L98... $2300 obo
pics on website.. it has a black carpet and black interior, but no way i'm taking apart that cherry interior.
