I have tackled this one. Go to most good fabric stores and buy new headliner fabric. They all have it.
By some spray on headliner glue, available in most auto parts stores.
Carefully! remove your headliner (its a kind of fibreboard, so it can be broken easily). The foam on the back of your original headliner material has disintegrated. Peel the old stuff off. Clean the headliner base with Steel wool. Glue the crap out of your new material and the headlner base, and trim it all out after you have let the glue set.
Total cost, about $50.00, 3 hours of labor.
Good luck
