Horn Button on Z28

Hey there guys,

Would one of you mind explaining to me how I can remove the round horn button on my '86 Z28 Steering Wheel? I need to clean the contacts where the connection is made, but I dont want to break the button in the process.

Thanks

my horn button on my 87 z28 just pulls out. disconnect the battery though so it doesnt make a bunch of noise. then just grab it and pull back toward your chest while turning it left and right to keep from breaking it. i have the leather wrapped wheel with the round leather button and emblem in the center. i dont know what you might have. just a suggestion if u have the same wheel.

Like he says, it just pops off and there is a single wire for the horn that just pulls off the spade terminal.
