no need to replace it, thats an easy fix, u need a bumper cover tho, go to a shop and see what the estimate says...

So, i'm assuming HER insurance is paying for the repairs of your car?? If so, why worry about where you get a new 1/4 and bumper cover. The most expensive/best body shop can find one for you

I doubt you'd need a new bumper cover.. just replace the bracket on that side with the studs on it.. either put the bumper in a booth on a bake cycle or heat it up on that side with a heat gun slowly.. those things will want to return to their original shape easily. And are way cheaper to fix than to replace. But ya the quarter can be saved.. though I'd be tempted to replace that lower section..

her insurance is taking full liability of the accident acccept... the damages are worth more than the car so its considered "totaled". i took a check for 3 grand from the insurance company and got to keep the car.. so i'm just trying to fix it as cheap as possible

i woudl go to the boneyard, and cut off that section of the quarter panel from a bird, and snag a cover if there is a good one, and that should be to expensive and then bring it ot a shop and see how much it would be ot have that part of the qaurter welded up and painted

they might be able to blend the paint to the rest of the car so you dont have to repaint a big part of your car.

is that rot that i see along the fender well ?

how is the rest of the car ? any rot, you might want to just sell it and then take the money from the insurance and waht you get from the car and look for another one.

Oh, well ok then. Like said, go to the 'yards and see what they have. It will be the cheapest price for sure. Also, look for a new cover. There not all that rare. I also agree with all of what White91formula say's.

with the 3 thousand that you got for the damage, and what you can sell the car for now, you can get yourself a pretty nice thirdgen with that kind of money, they are cheap.

Chances are after you get the quarter straightned or cut off they will find more damages underneath that are not showing now, an your best bed is to just get rid of it now, i would say. it may be fixable but it will never be the same again after the accident, no car ever is no matter how small the damage is. unless the car has lots of sentimental value to you and you are stuck to it i would atleast consider getting rid of it and looking for a new one.

those bumper covers are pretty tough.. when i took apart my front end after it was damaged, the passenger side fender was pushed in underneath the headlight and so was the bumper cover, i hit that thing a few times with a mallet and it just went *plunk* and popped right back into shape, its a little bit warped but damn i was suprised how tough that thing was

u should not do anything yourself, just take it into a few shops and get estimates, and if they'll repair it for what u got then do it that way. there is definitely some frame damage tho from what i can tell, u just can't see it yet or haven't noticed it. that 'll have to be pulled w/ a frame machine.
