from doeskin to black...
well to start off w/ my dad finally decided to send his maro to the yard. I took advantage of the situation and scrapped the entire interior for myself.
My camaro had the medium doeskin interior but it was really worn out so i took the weekend to swap in the black stuff
Here's a pic before, it shows about 3 different shades of tan.

I'm either going to recover my seats in the black madrid vinyl from hawks or find some red/black 4th gen seats.

here's the cargo area, it could use a good cleaning. As you can see i still need to swap the passenger side door panel. This little project of mine took from 3-12 friday and 8 to 4 saturday morning.
Let me know what you guys think!

my interior pic. didnt show.... ok, so heres the plan, ive got new door panels, which kind of have a mix of gray/black fabric, ive got all new dark gray plastic panels, and ive got these dark gray 4th. gen seats. i can get a much better deal on non-molded black carpet, than i can on the molded gray carpet. so what do you think, think itll look alright with the black carpet and the dark gray seats? or should i spend the extra money and buy the gray carpet?

go grey....
btw, your interior is screaming attention! I didn't think it could get any worse than my doeskin, guess i was wrong. those are nice seats though.
good luck, its a lot of fun

ps: I'm now trying to get rid of all the squeeks and rattles i seemed to uncover changing things over...

i had the same color interior as the picture above, actually its still in the car but i have all the black plastics and a set of cobalt 4th gen seats waiting to go in. i was going to start the project today but got stuck doing a waterpump on an lt1.
quick question, when you took the door panels off, does that black trim piece on top(holds window molding) slide to the left then up? its been a LONG time since i have done an interior swap, dont want to break the only panels i have. also, on a hard top, the black A pillar panels... do they just pull off? i am redoing the headliner also.

the black trim pieces... as you're looking straight at the open door with the window down, push it forward and then pull up. you can look down into the door when pushing to see when the clips come undone, thats when you pull it off. I had to use the trim pieces off of the doeskin door because i destroyed the ones on the black panels trying to figure it out. I guess it didn't matter cuz i wasnt gonna use them (already cracked). The A pillars you can just pull out, you might break the small white plastic clips holding those in though.
i hope this helps,
Brandon

I'm pretty sure you can slide it left too, i just pushed mine in and pulled up. came right out.
the fasteners in the pillars are the same as the ones in the door.
