I think its a kewl idea but here's my problem. The Camaro/Firebird is clearly not a "comfortable" 4 seater. Therefore, you're just providing your passenger a TV. Its a neat idea and I've had one before in previous cars, but I guess I don't associate them with an FBody at all. If you want to watch TV, go home and watch it!

To each their own, but I just don't see the point in having a TV in the car. I can see the point in having one in the headrests for kids in the rear, but not on the dash.

in this state if you get pulled over with a tv on in the front seats you get a ticket. deff not worth it to me. besides, its a sports car, not a minivan or suv.

hey are those 5 point harnesses on those seats? do you have a roll cage installed? im dyin to see how they bolt up without a roll cage installed

most people dont see the need but i love tv. i dont ever really have any passengers so its pretty much just for me anyway. right now ive got gone in sixty seconds and dave chappell in there to watch when i head to my buddies house 30 min away!! if you like it or not you gotta admit its a pretty cool idea. until the end of summer my car is just for looks anyway.

and yes those are 5 pt. harnesses but ive got them bolted into the factory locations and then into the back seat bolt hole for the shoulder straps. im not using the 5th point because i dont like things diggin around my crotch!! when the lt1 goes in ill invest in a 4pt roll bar to properly install my harnesses as well.

I don't need 300hp either, but I have it.

The TV is fun, and it gives me the ability to play music on dvd, which in may cases includes stuff that you can't get on CD. It also should draw quite a crowd at the next cruise night.

That's got to be the most irresponsible thing I've heard on here for a long time. Watching TV while driving along the road? It's bad enough people driving around while on the cell phone, let alone trying to watch a movie. Watching the TV while parked up is one thing, but doing it while driving is just stupid.

i have an in dash pop up screen with tv and thats about it, i hardly ever use it but it fits my theme with the fourth gen interior and the futuristic knight rider look. but whatever to each his own, do whatever makes you happy. ill put a pic up later after i finish putting the console back in.

i plan on putting a 7inch screen undereath the dash vents in the middle then on the dash cutting a hole(on the part that sticks out and is about 3=4 inches wide) and puttin in a PS2 so i can watch dvds and play some games.

i dunno about any of you but i find myself waiting for people and having a lot of time to kill sittin in my car on some days and it would be nice to have something to do

not only that it is a pimp thing to have, especially for car shows when all you have under the hood is a 3.1

have you checked for clearance behind the dash to make sure a big ps2 will fit?? i want to put a ps2 in somehow........i was gona hang it from this net someone makes right under my pass dash (it sounds crappy but looks good my frind had one in his jetta) but if there is space ill stick it in there.

and what do you need to hook one up? ive got my ps2 and games just need the cables and such now

i havent checked for clearnece as of yet...but the ps2 is a lot wider than it is deep if i remember correctly, with the way the dash sticks out there really should be enough room, even if it stuck out a bit(which i would rather it be flush) you could probably make something for it to make it fit like a cd player.

thats just my idea, i havent researched it much yet as im in the middle of a 5speed conversion and gotta paint the car again after that. but if i do it ill post it dont worry

it wont be flush but it you want it to look clean you could cut a rectangle out of the dash to stick part of it back into the dash and fiberglass a a shelf around it instead of the net, would look much better and not very expinsive, i did something similar with a fourt gen dash by cuting a rectangle in the airbag part of the dash and flush mounting it there

i am putting in a flip out screen in my dash and one in each headrest for the kid to watch they only reason i am putting one in each headrest is to make it look even and the flip out i need to control the other screens and dvd player.

a good idea is you remove the dome lamp and place it up towards the front around where the rear view mirror is. Then where the domelight used to be mouth your screen around there so the ppl in back can watch plus you wont get a ticket for it.
