Having trouble with GTA door panels...

I'm trying to remove the door panels off of my '88 GTA so I can replace those slow GM power window motors. Anyway, I can't seem to get these things to budge. I've removed everything and I popped the door panel clips out, but it still won't go. The door panel itself is free, but the top plastic trim piece won't move. I've done a search already and asked a few people, and I still haven't been able to get them out. I've heard that the GTA door panels are supposedly a little different from the rest of the 3rd gen panels, but I can't find any real information on this. Any help or advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

with the window down you just need to push towards the outside of the door and up at the same time and they should come off.

There are some differences (for example an 89 T/A vs a 90 RS) but it's only how the door handle mounts (sheet metal underneath the panel is different).
To remove the black plastic trim, make sure the window is all the way down, start at the end of the door furthest from the hinges. Push down and towards the outside door skin...the piece will unlatch...work your way along the plastic trim until you get to the other end...there are about 5 clips holding the trim piece.
Just be careful it doesn't relatch as you work your way along.
Once you get the first clip free, you'll see exactly how to free them.
