really tho mines the same u cannot begin to see the flakes and glitters let alone shine and color changes of mine in my crappy cam. and yea u laid her on nice and wet and then took pics right after while paint was wet cuz man u had that kinda peel theres no way it work out but thats way paint goes on when wet then drys flatter then wet sand n buff makes it better.
i noticed tho warmer it is less peel liek that u se to begin w/ and u guys wouldl been like us if u sen my silver wet omg it was ugly and aweful.
silver w/ that much flake has its own way of being done.
u got to lay it on fast n dry basically w/ no shine no blending.
but in order to get shine u need do a couple wet coats that makes the flakes swirl and seperate and looks aweful omg u guys had see them to beleive it happened then once got down few nice ones kinda mist over it litely goin up and down the side to side and itl look dul and aweful but once settled n dried its shiny and even.
its weird.
thanks thomas i got to get up *** pics thoose suck but man its surely alot better then when i bought my car and definatly worth over 500 now lol.
still cant beleive we was paintin on same day.

tomorrow you will see the finished product and it out of the shop i had a slight prob with my starter( it dropped a bolt out of it and the main power wire touched my header and the sparks started flying) anyway ill have to shim it tomorrow and finish some last minute things and pull it out so the sun will actually hit it and then i will let you all see the shine.
thomas
p.s. thanx for the comments and btw yours is looking very nice wish i had the room to strip mine down like that but i was having to do mine outsdie most of the time and finally got access to my father in laws shop.

yea me 2 had do mine in the garage were u had pul one side right on the wall like an inch away just so u could open the opposite side half way it was a pain and yea we didnt paint in optimal conditions lol we had the front clip from the fenders up hangin out of the garage and the rest in and settin sideways to allow acces to both sides and sprayed it lol.
turned out nice we got more dirt in dads s10 door doin them in the garage n all on a table then my hole car.
3gc i bet yurs gonna be bout the silver of mine lol.
but might not flip colors as bad tho due to the huge amount of flakes in my paint but even tho man i know thatll look sweet.
silvers nice but black man u gotta have straight car and or great body work to do black and thomas surely has both.

You and Beniot should get on some sort of instant messenger program, this post is almost all you two going back and forth =) Otherwise I really like the hood...I think that is the way the SS hoods should look on Camaros, I find the ones out there too bulky looking. On your bird it looks smooth. I would also do without that spoiler, although I must admit it looks better than other ones out there. I think a Camaro high rise spoiler would look cool with your car. It should look a whole lot better once you wetsand and buff it out. Oh and 2 megapixels is fine...you can still get a 1600X1200 resolution with a 2mpx camera, that is more than enough.

sweet!
dude, that car kicks ***! It gives me a mental picture of a mix between KITT and the Mad Max car! love the rear deck wing....i think your car is the only one it looks good on, because the all-black paint job makes it look more aggressive! Two more things, first being where did you get that hood? I'd like one on my 87 T/A if I dont get a 4inch Cowl Induction one(followed by a 14inch air filter!). Lastly, I dig the incorporation of the two smaller "H" bulb-type lights on the front of the headlights....good idea for when they dont frickin go up(which is 90% of the time!)
-G
P.S-dont worry bout flamers here....I'm known to be one who ALWAYS gets flamed for my unique ideas, good to know i'm not alone! lol!

WOW
thanx 305TIGER I grafted that scoop onto a regular flat hood took me awhile to complete it but its on there fonally i figured nobody else had one so i figured id be the first it really flows with the lines of the hood IMO. and about the headlights i seen REDRAIFS car and i had to have those havent quite finished them yet but im working on it still have a few more things to go before its road worthy but it wont be long now. thank you again for replying .

Headlights look pretty good - I think I like them better than REDRAIF's car...
What's up with the hood though, looks like after it was painted it was sandblasted.

hehehehe
yeah i borrowed that phoenix(thanx for making it i loved the look of it) as far as the hood goes its just glare no sandblasting on it trust me, i still have a little adjusting to do here and there but hopefully this coming sunday ill try and have it completed at least the wetsanding and buffing anyway. also ill try and have the hood adjusted and the mufflers hung right and try and get some tips on it. "Headlights look pretty good - I think I like them better than REDRAIF's car..." now thats a compliment if ive ever heard 1 before , thankyou. :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail:

nice bird! What's the story behind the spoiler? I've never seen that style before and it looks like it fits the rear decklid very well. Also, the hood does look good. How much time/money did you spend on modifying the hood?

hmm lets see
first off thanx for replying , the spoiler was on the car when i bought it but you can get 1 from www.vanacorvette.com although ive heard you can get them at other places also. now the hood is a different story however the scoop was free i got it from a buddy of mine (its good to have friends) and i only spent 15 bux on a gallon of bondo ,and the time well lets just say i worked on my car for eight months and the hood took me about 2 of those although i was only getting 1 day a week off, so all in all only about a week or so of actual work. and also this was the very first time i worked with bondo in my life just letting you know.

ok guys
thanx iceblue, sorry kontrax gotta keep the wing i like a lot of different wings out there but i think mine sets it apart from all the others ,in order to be unique you got to have some things different and thats what i wanted nobody else has it so im gonna keep it. but i appreciate the comments whether there good or bad all are welcome if it wasnt for differences in opinion this world would be awfully boring. just my $.02.
